Deus te abençoe o gesto de carinho,
Alma da caridade, branda e pura,
Pela migalha da ventura
Aos tristes do caminho...
 
Deus te abençoe a refeição sem nome
Que trazes cada dia,
Aos cansados viajores da agonia
Que esmorecem de fome...
 
Deus te abençoe a roupa restaurada
Com que vestes contente,
A penosa nudez de tanta gente
Que vagueia na estrada!...
 
Deus te abençoe a bolsa da esperança
Que abres, a sós, sem que ninguém te espreite,
Para a gota de leite
Destinada à criança...
 
Deus te abençoe o pano do lençol,
Com que envolves, em doce cobertura,
Os enfermos que choram de amargura,
À distância do sol...
 
Deus te abençoe, por onde fores,
E te conserve as luzes,
Em que extingues, removes ou reduzes,
Os problemas, as lágrimas e as dores!!!
 
Deus te abençoe a fala humilde e santa,
Com que aplacas a ira
Da calúnia, do escárnio, da mentira,
Na frase que perdoa e que levanta...
 
Caridade, que o teu nome ressoe,
Pleno de amor profundo,
E por tudo o que fazes neste mundo,
Deus te guarde e abençoe!.

God bless the healing touch, Soul charity, gentle and pure, The crumb of fortune The sad the way ...   God bless you the unnamed meal You bring every day, The tired wayfarers of agony That fade from starvation ...   God bless the restored clothes How glad robes, The painful nakedness of so many people Wandering on the road! ...   God bless the Hope scholarship That it opens, alone, without anyone peek you, For the drop of milk Intended for children ...   God bless the sheet of cloth, That envolves in sweet cover, The sick who cry of bitterness, In the distance the sun ...   God bless you, wherever you are, And keep the lights, Where extingues, removes or turnest, The problems, the tears and the pain !!!   God bless you speech humble and holy, How stilleth anger Slander, scorn, of lies, The phrase forgiving and lifting ...   Charity, that your name resonates, Full of deep love, And for all that you do in this world, God keep and bless you !.
